Our founder Mr. Vijaybhai Ishwarlal Patel, born in 1968 in Visnagar village of Mehsana district in Gujarat and under the influence of his spiritual master Guruji Sri Tadrupanandaji, he dedicated his life to serving the nation and humanity. After obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering degree in civil engineering, he moved to Bharuch to pursue his dreams. He established M/s Vijay Patel (A-Class Govt Contractor) Civil Industrial Contractor in 2003. Inspired by Guruji, he founded "Gau Seva Uttam Sevani" Hari Om Gir Gaushala in 2016 in Karmali village, Bharuch district, starting with 5 Gir Gau Mata. The gaushala now houses over 70+ Gir breed cows and Nandis. Under Vijaybhai's leadership, the gaushala focuses on cow breeding and caring for the cows. In 2019, cow-based farming and breeding were established. The gaushala aims to be a center of excellence in its field. Vijaybhai Patel has adopted the "dohan" style of Gir cow breeding to produce clean, pure cow-based products for the people of Bharuch.
Founded in 2016 with just five Gir cows, Hariom Gir Gaushala began as a humble initiative driven by love and respect for our native breed. Over the years, our gaushala has grown into a sanctuary dedicated to the preservation, care, and welfare of Gir cows. Rooted in traditional values and sustained by devotion, we strive to provide a safe, nurturing environment where these sacred animals can thrive.
By 2020, the gaushala had become home to over 40 healthy and well-nurtured Gir cows. Each cow is treated with compassion and raised in a natural, stress-free environment that reflects our deep-rooted cultural values and spiritual beliefs. At Hariom Gir Gaushala, our mission goes beyond just care — we are committed to promoting awareness about the importance of native breeds, encouraging organic dairy practices, and creating a sustainable ecosystem for these sacred animals.
By 2024, Hariom Gir Gaushala has proudly grown into a thriving shelter for over 80 purebred Gir cows. Our focus remains on preserving the indigenous Gir breed, known for its resilience, gentle nature, and high-quality A2 milk. Through sustainable practices and deep-rooted values, we aim to not only protect these sacred animals but also educate future generations about their importance in Indian culture and agriculture.
